Detailed Platform Structure
Community and Collaboration
Discord Management: Initially, all activities, including JAMs, community interactions, and voting, are managed on Discord. This ensures a familiar and accessible environment for all participants. Dedicated channels will be set up for different community segments, including developers, creatives, interested individuals, the core team, visual designers, and creative directors. Active moderation and support channels will ensure smooth interaction and assistance for all participants. Regular updates and announcements regarding upcoming JAMs, webinars, and other community events will keep everyone informed and engaged.
Transition to Own Platform: As Pulsarium grows, we will migrate to a dedicated platform, providing advanced tools and resources to support community-driven development. The user-friendly platform will integrate all features currently managed on Discord, ensuring a seamless experience. Advanced tools for content creation, collaboration, voting, and asset management will be provided, enhancing the community's ability to create and innovate. The transition will be smooth, with detailed guides and support to help all members migrate from Discord to the new platform.
Content Creation and Development
Individual and JAM Development: Games and stories can be developed individually or through collaborative JAMs. This flexibility allows for diverse content creation, ensuring a rich and engaging metaverse. Individual developers can work on their projects independently, while JAMs provide a collaborative environment where participants can team up to create content. This dual approach caters to different working styles and encourages a variety of creative outputs.
Pricing and Monetization: Creators can price their final products in various ways: free, minimum mandatory price with optional donations, or a suggested price plus donations. This model empowers creators to monetize their work while contributing to the platform's growth. The pricing flexibility ensures that creators can choose the most suitable model for their audience and content type, maximizing both reach and revenue potential.
Customizable Platform Experience
Sales Page Customization: Creators have full control over their sales pages. They can customize these pages however they like, optimizing for whatever conversion they see best. This includes setting prices, showcasing their products, and personalizing the layout and design. Importantly, we do not show additional links or ads on their sales pages, ensuring a distraction-free environment that focuses solely on their content. This level of customization allows creators to tailor their presentation to their audience, enhancing user experience and engagement.
Profile Customization: Creators have full creative control over their profiles. They can add unique features to enhance the visitor experience. For instance, if a creator wants their profile to slowly zoom out when someone visits, they can implement this. This example illustrates the level of creative freedom available, allowing creators to make their profiles as unique and engaging as they desire. This flexibility ensures that each profile can reflect the creator's individual style and branding.
Platform Fee and Reward Pool
Flexible Commission: Creators decide the platform fee for their products, ranging from 0% to 100%. This commission enters the reward pool, supporting the ecosystem. This flexibility allows creators to choose the most suitable fee structure for their needs, encouraging participation and contribution to the platform's sustainability.
Reward Pool Allocation: Initially, allocation decisions are made centrally, with the DAO progressively gaining more voting power. The reward pool funds are used for:
Purchasing Tokens: Acquire tokens to support the ecosystem, ensuring liquidity and growth.
Paying Out Dividends: Reward asset holders with dividends, incentivizing long-term investment and participation.
Allocating to Charity: Support charitable causes, leveraging the community's power for positive impact.
Funding Future JAM Rewards: Ensure ongoing engagement and motivation by funding prizes and rewards for future JAMs.
JAMs (Joint Action Movements)
Types of JAMs:
Story JAMs: Focused on creating narrative content like one-pagers, trailers, and audiobooks. These events provide a structured environment for writers and storytellers to contribute to the Pulsarium universe, ensuring a rich and coherent narrative foundation.
Game Development JAMs: Dedicated to developing mini-games and interactive experiences within the Pulsarium universe. These events offer game developers and designers a collaborative space to create engaging content, enhancing the overall metaverse experience.
Ranked vs. Normal JAMs:
Ranked JAMs: Feature a voting mechanism with staking, ensuring fair and competitive participation. Participants stake tokens to join, which are then used to reward winners, ensuring a high level of commitment and quality.
Normal JAMs: Open to community voting without staking, promoting inclusivity and broad participation. These JAMs provide a more accessible entry point for new or casual participants, fostering a welcoming and supportive community environment.
Governance and Voting Mechanisms
Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO): The DAO will gradually assume more control over reward pool allocations, ensuring community-driven governance. This phased implementation allows for a smooth transition from centralized decision-making to community governance, ensuring stability and inclusivity.
Phased Implementation: Start with centralized decision-making, gradually shifting to DAO governance as the community grows. This ensures that governance evolves in line with the platform's development and community size.
Voting Power: Community members can vote on important decisions, fund allocation, and platform developments. This democratic process ensures that all voices are heard and that the platform evolves in line with the community's needs and preferences.
Transparency: Ensure all governance processes are transparent and accessible to all members. Regular updates and clear communication will maintain trust and engagement.
Voting Systems:
Submitters Only: Only those who submitted entries can vote, ensuring peer evaluation. This system promotes a fair assessment by those who have actively contributed.
Submitters & Contributors: All contributors can vote, promoting collaborative decision-making. This approach fosters a sense of shared responsibility and inclusivity.
Judges Only: Expert judges appointed by the JAM hosts vote, ensuring high-quality evaluation. This method leverages expert knowledge to ensure the best entries are recognized.
Public Voting: Open to the entire community, encouraging wide participation. This system engages the broader community, increasing visibility and inclusivity.
Economic Model and Asset Management
Interoperability: In-game assets are interchangeable with platform assets, enhancing gameplay and providing tangible rewards to contributors. This interoperability ensures a seamless and integrated experience, where assets have multiple uses and benefits.
Ownership and Monetization: Assets represent true ownership, secured on the blockchain, giving players real-world value and control. Creators can monetize their work through platform assets, earning rewards and supporting ecosystem sustainability. This model not only incentivizes participation but also ensures that all contributions are recognized and rewarded.
